A: Yes, as result of The Bankruptcy Abuse and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 all personal bankruptcy filers are required to take a Personal Financial Management Course. Our course meets the standards established for such courses by the US Trustee's office.

2. Q: When should someone take this course?
A: A bankruptcy filer should complete this course within 45 days after the first date set for the meeting of creditors under 341 of the Code in a chapter 7 case, and no later than the last payment made by a debtor as required by the plan or filing of the motion for entry or discharge under 1328(b) in a chapter 13 case. If you have any doubt as to your last day to take this course, please contact your attorney or the Trustee assigned to your case.

3. Q: Can you fail this Course?
A: No. Everyone who completes the course will receive a Certificate of Completion.

4. Q: How much is the Course?
A: Internet Pricing: $17.50 for single debtors and $35 for joint debtors. Joint debtors will receive two separate logins and can complete the course EITHER individually or together. Telephone Pricing: $25 for single or joint debtors. Joint debtors must be on the same telephone conference.

5. Q: When can I take my course?

Although you may take and complete the course at any time, your certificate may not be issued until the next business day.
